Recently, our company has successfully completed the delivery of high-deflection spring isolators supplied to Luoyang Bearing Research Institute Co., Ltd., and they have been applied to its key motor test bench project.
As the only national-level Class I comprehensive research institute in China's bearing industry, Luoyang Bearing Research Institute holds a very high industry standing in bearing testing technology and high-end equipment. Its motor test bench, as the core equipment for simulating actual bearing operating conditions, imposes stringent requirements on the precision, stability, and vibration isolation performance of supporting components.
Designed according to the high-speed rotating and dynamic loading conditions of the test bench, Shanghai Liwa provided professional-grade high-deflection spring isolators for the project. The isolators feature a natural frequency as low as 2.2Hz, effectively attenuating motor vibration and ground reaction forces, ensuring the stability and concentricity of the test shaft system under high-speed operation, and meeting the requirements for high precision and low background noise in bearing testing.
In response to the complex operating conditions with multiple motors and variable frequencies on the test bench, the supplied high-deflection damping spring isolators have a natural frequency as low as 2.2Hz, enabling effective isolation of vibration energy within the frequency range of ≥3.1Hz and significantly reducing the transmission of high-frequency excitation forces to the foundation structure. The spring body is made of special alloy materials and has undergone millions of cyclic load fatigue tests, with an elastic recovery rate of ≥95%. This not only continuously ensures damping performance but also greatly extends the product’s service life. Accelerated aging tests have verified that the design service life is no less than 20 years, with extremely low degradation rates of key performance parameters, meeting the engineering requirements for long-term stable operation.

Excellent Corrosion Resistance
The outer frame is treated with a zinc-aluminum coating, and the spring body is coated with powder baking paint. This dual protection system endows the product with outstanding corrosion resistance. Both surface treatments have passed the ASTM B-117 and CNS 8886 salt spray test standards, ensuring long-term use without rusting in humid and corrosive environments, making them suitable for various industrial plants and outdoor test sites.
Ample Deflection Margin
The spring design fully considers safety margins under extreme operating conditions: the spring diameter is greater than 0.8 times the height when compressed to the rated deflection, ensuring lateral stability under full load. In addition, the remaining compression from the rated load position to the solid height exceeds 50% of the rated deflection. This safety margin effectively accommodates load fluctuations and accidental impacts, guaranteeing reliable operation throughout the isolator's entire service life.
Superior Fatigue Resistance
The springs undergo heat treatment and stress relief processes to effectively eliminate internal residual stresses, resulting in a uniform and stable microstructure with excellent fatigue resistance. The elastic recovery rate of the spring can reach over 99%, ensuring long-term, continuous damping performance and significantly reducing maintenance and replacement frequency.
Efficient Vibration Isolation Structure
A 12 mm gap is maintained between the side retaining bolts and the outer frame, effectively preventing vibration from being transmitted directly to the foundation structure through the rigid path of the fastening bolts, thus avoiding vibration short-circuiting. This lateral isolation design ensures that the vast majority of vibration energy is absorbed and dissipated by the spring-damping system, further enhancing isolation efficiency.
Integrated Sound Absorption and Anti-Slip Function
A 6 mm thick synthetic rubber pad is provided as standard at the base. It not only effectively absorbs mid-to-high frequency noise generated during equipment operation but also increases the friction coefficient with the mounting foundation, providing reliable anti-slip and positioning functions to ensure stable operation without displacement.
Easy and Maintenance-Free Installation
The springs are designed with a fixed height positioning feature, eliminating the need for complex leveling adjustments during installation. Simply placing the isolator in position ensures that it operates at the designed working height. The simple structure facilitates easy maintenance and greatly shortens the installation and commissioning cycle.
