The client is a high-tech enterprise in the Hefei area specializing in new energy R&D and electric retrofitting of construction machinery. The company is part of Xiangyuan Group (the general agent for Sany Heavy Industry). Leveraging the group's deep channel resources and industry expertise, it has proactively positioned itself in the new energy sector, adhering to the business philosophy of "everything originates from customers, everything originates from innovation." The company has established three core business segments: energy storage systems, PACK contract manufacturing, and electric retrofitting of construction machinery.
This collaboration focuses on the core energy-supply equipment within the client's "construction machinery electrification" business—the mobile power vehicle. This product is specifically designed to provide outdoor rapid charging services for heavy machinery such as excavators and loaders in mining areas, and serves as a critical piece of equipment in the transition from diesel to electric power in mining operations. However, mining roads are rugged, with vehicles operating for extended periods under extreme conditions including gravel, mud, and steep slopes. The onboard power supply system (comprising energy storage battery packs, PACK components, electrical control cabinets, etc.) is continuously subjected to high-intensity multi-dimensional vibration and shock. This imposes requirements on the vibration damping system—in terms of load capacity, durability, and safety—that are far more stringent than those for standard commercial vehicles.
Product Comparison
Prior to this replacement and upgrade, the client's mobile power vehicles—being customized products—had used shock absorbers supplied by a manufacturer based in Hebei. During actual mining road tests, the product failed to meet performance standards, with significant discrepancies in rated load capacity and structural collapse issues: the rated load of the original shock absorbers did not match the total weight of the onboard power supply system and the dynamic impact loads encountered in service. Moreover, even among the same product model, significant batch-to-batch parameter variations were observed. When operating on bumpy mining roads, the shock absorbers would undergo irreversible compression collapse within a short period, losing their supporting function.

Specific to this project: engineers calculated the appropriate parameters required for the shock absorbers based on the actual load and operating conditions of the mobile power vehicle, ensuring sufficient safety margins, and then proceeded with selection. If a product were to adopt parameters at the production stage that deviated significantly from the original functional design due to cost considerations, the product delivered to the customer would naturally exhibit deviations.
In contrast, the Hebei-sourced products previously used by the client represent a fundamental difference—the latter, in order to cut costs, made "economic trade-offs" in elastomer thickness, metal component wall thickness, and rubber compound formulations. It is precisely these invisible reductions that led to functional deviations of the shock absorbers under real-world usage, and even adverse effects on the equipment.
