Project Introduction

The client in this collaboration operates in the optical component processing and inspection industry, primarily manufacturing lens elements, prisms, light guide plates, laser modules, and optical coating components. The company relies on optical measurement platforms to inspect lens curvature, thickness, light transmission profiles, and assembly clearances, and is extremely sensitive to vibration and airflow disturbances. The optical measurement platform features a granite surface with high rigidity, which makes it prone to resonance that amplifies vibration. The platform is enclosed within a fully sealed aluminum profile protective frame housing a high-speed scanning lens. Airflow from the plant's air compressor and workshop ventilation systems, combined with ground vibrations, create dual interference. Conventional isolation products only address solid‑borne vibration and cannot simultaneously dampen the microscopic table displacements caused by airflow fluctuations, resulting in wavy deviations in continuous scanning images.



Solution

In response to the above issues, Liva Shanghai's large-scale industrial air‑floating vibration isolation optical measurement platform damping project has been successfully completed and closed out. Our Shanghai team has completed the bulk supply of VC‑type pneumatic isolators, with all damping products having undergone on‑site installation at the plant, air line connection, leveling, and vibration measurement and commissioning.


Core Product Advantages

Ultra-low 2 Hz natural frequency



Effectively addresses complex workshop vibration interference. The optical measurement platform is extremely sensitive to low-frequency vibrations (5–50 Hz) from machine tools, forklifts, and fans. The VC pneumatic isolator’s 2 Hz natural frequency significantly attenuates ground-borne vibration transmission, preventing optical lens jitter, measurement data drift, and out-of-tolerance repeatability errors.


2±0.05 mm automatic leveling compensation




Ensures the precision of the granite reference plane. Most optical platforms feature long, split-type heavy granite tables, where uneven self-weight distribution and operator foot traffic can cause micro-tilting. This isolator automatically maintains high-precision horizontal leveling under load changes, preventing table distortion and ensuring consistent measurement accuracy across the entire platform


Adjustable damping flow control valve




Addresses dual interference from airflow and vibration in enclosed optical equipment. Within enclosed optical measurement enclosures, airflow disturbances from ventilation systems exist. The adjustable damping structure not only isolates solid-borne ground vibration but also buffers table micro-displacements caused by airflow, eliminating wavy deviations in continuous scanning images.


Safety pressure relief valve




Adapts to multi-point heavy-duty platforms. Large optical platforms are typically supported by 4–6 points. When sudden load changes occur during loading or workpiece placement, the safety valve absorbs impact shocks, preventing overloading and damage to individual air bladders, ensuring synchronized and balanced load distribution across all supports and preventing table settlement or imbalance.

Ultra-thin rubber diaphragm air chamber




Offers fast isolation response. The diaphragm-type air bladder responds sensitively to deflection, quickly attenuating instantaneous impact vibrations from operator movement and material carts. This significantly reduces equipment stabilization waiting time, improving optical inspection workstation throughput.


Modular and freely combinable




Adapts to customized large optical platforms. For elongated, split-type non-standard granite optical tables, the number of VC isolators can be adjusted as needed to suit different total lengths and self-weights. Installation and commissioning are straightforward, fitting within the confined spaces of enclosed aluminum-frame protective structures.

Long-term stable operation




Reduces equipment downtime for calibration. The air bladder construction resists continuous workshop operation without premature fatigue or aging, eliminating the need for frequent manual leveling corrections. It consistently meets the long-term quality control requirements for micron-level optical dimensional inspection.
